plowshares and their spears into pruning hooks. Nation will not take up sword against nation,
nor will they train for war anymore.
Isaiah 11:6-9
The wolf will live with the lamb, the
leopard will lie down with the goat, the calf and the lion and the yearling
together; and a little child will lead them. The cow will feed with the bear, their young
will lie down together, and the lion will eat straw like the ox. The infant
will play near the hole of the cobra, and the young child put his hand into the
viper’s nest. They will neither harm nor destroy on all my holy mountain, for
the earth will be full of the knowledge of the LORD as the waters cover the
sea.
Revelation
20: 6-7………….and shall reign with Him a thousand years. Now when the thousand
years have expired…………………….
COMMENT:
The millennial kingdom is a time of real and
universal peace all over the world. It is the Utopia spoken about, imagined and
desired not only by the philosophers, but also political and religious leaders.
The architects of communism have tried to build utopian world for over 70 years
but have miserably failed. Mao in China and Stalin in the USSR persecuted and
murdered millions of defenseless human beings for not complying with the orders
to advance communism and by extension utopia.
The first
president of Kenya, Jomo Kenyatta once said that uhuru (independence) does not
mean utopia. He was reacting to what his Vice-President Oginga Odinga had
repeatedly said “Not yet Uhuru”. He even wrote a book with the same title. He meant that independence had not been
achieved in Kenya because nothing like utopia had been realized. Out of bitter
disagreement, the two leaders parted ways.
The
dictionary defines utopia as follows: “An
ideally perfect place, especially in its social, political, and moral aspects”.
Millennial
kingdom is not a small issue although not much has been said about it or
discussed. However, it has always been
in the mind and plan of God hence the creation of the Garden of Eden and placed
Adam there. Unfortunately, Adam lost the paradise while exercising his freedom
of choice but the utopian concept has remained in the mind of human beings.
Just before
heaven is ushered in, there will be a transitional period of actual 1000 years
and only the Jews released from the hiding place will dwell on the earth. The
Antichrist with his followers will have been annihilated at the battle of Armageddon
(the Antichrist and the false prophet will actually be thrown into the lake of
fire alive). The earth will be almost the way it is today except few changes to
make it better to live in. It will be a real paradise on earth.
The Lord
Jesus Christ will rule as King from the city of Jerusalem assisted by the old testament
saints and the born again Christians who will have been raptured during the seven-year
reign of the Antichrist. They will all arrive from heaven with new resurrection
bodies accompanied by the Lord Jesus.
During the millennial
kingdom, as written in the scriptures by Isaiah, Hosea, Micah and Zephaniah,
real utopia will be experienced. Suffering, war, diseases and famine will be no
more. The world population will grow rapidly due to the fact that diseases and
deaths will have been eliminated. The earth is expected to have the tropical
climate all over.
The chosen
nation of the Jews will be rewarded as promised to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.
Abraham was promised land and children as many as the sand of the sea or the
stars and by the end of the millennial kingdom they will be billions and
billions.
It will be
an opportunity for the Jews to meet the Lord Jesus Christ and realize that he
is the saviour sent earlier but they rejected him. Many will accept him; make
him king and bow to him. They will always enjoy in his kingdom.

Spirit! We thank you for this message of hope.
