Chronicles 29:9
The people
rejoiced at the willing response of the leaders, for they had given freely and
wholeheartedly to the Lord. David the king also rejoiced greatly.
COMMENT:
The
willing response and giving freely and wholeheartedly by the leaders made the
people rejoice. King David rejoiced as well and his praise is written from
verse 10 to 13 of this chapter under reference. In verse 14(b) it is recorded
that, “everything comes from you (God), and we have given you (God) only what
comes from your hand”.
Whatever we have
comes from God, and therefore we have no choice but to give back. We are then
given again and again.
PRAYER:
Thanks Holy Spirit for more revelation about giving. We give because in the
first place we are given. It is a life of giving and receiving or receiving and
giving. The water must continue to flow.
