THE ECONOMY OF HEAVEN IS GIVING AND RECEIVING July 1

REFERENCE: Matthew 6:3-4

But when you give to the needy, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, so that your giving may be secret. Then your father, who sees what is done in secret will reward you.

COMMENT: Giving to the needy must be done in secret if God is to release a reward. If it is done in public, the people witnessing it will praise the giver and that praise from the people is the only reward. Nothing will come from God because He does not share his glory with man. That is why He does not act.

However, when the giving is witnessed by others, especially to a ministry through electronic media, God understands and rewards the giver.

PRAYER: Thanks to God for His order that we must not publish our act of giving. Thanks again for curtailing pride that may come from the act of giving.  

THE ECONOMY OF HEAVEN IS GIVING AND RECEIVING July 15

REF: Malachi 3:10

Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this, “says the Lord Almighty, and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that you will not have room enough for it.

COMMENT:  Everything we need on earth is available in heaven and it can be released to us in large quantities if we only fulfill the conditions. The requirement is that we bring the whole tithe into the house of God where we are fed spiritually. On top of the tithe, we are also required to plant seeds occasionally, give offerings and honour our pledges. We are also commanded to help the poor.

It had taken me too long to fully understand, appreciate and practice this requirement,  but recently when I decided to test God, I have already started to enjoy His blessings. I have made it my way of living and I will never lack anything in life. Praise the Lord!!

PRAYER: Holy Spirit! Teach me to obey always because everything good comes from God.

THE ECONOMY OF HEAVEN ISGIVING AND RECEIVING July 11

Ref: Proverbs 28:27

He who gives to the poor will lack nothing, but he who closes his eyes to them receives many curses.

COMMENT:

We live in a world of giving and that is why God gives to us and expects us to share with others. When we share, we receive more. But when we withhold, we earn ourselves curses.

In this scripture, we are required to give to the poor and this positive action earns us more blessings. When we neglect giving to the poor, we may find ourselves in difficulties we cannot easily explain. Giving to charity may appear to be such a small matter but to God, it is serious because the law is the same and must be obeyed by all especially Christians.

A blessing is what we expect from God Almighty, but the condition given is that we take care of the poor and other disadvantaged people.

PRAYER:

Holy Spirit! Remind me that the world is full of poor people even in welfare states and therefore giving is a MUST.

THE ECONOMY OF HEAVEN IS GIVING AND RECEIVING July 10

Ref:  Proverbs 22:9

A generous man will himself be blessed, for he shares his food with the poor.

COMMENT:

Generosity attracts blessings from God because giving makes the engine of the economy of heaven to start moving. Withholding of blessings stops the flow of more blessings and so a man of God begins to suffer from lack of some basics. But immediately the proper giving resumes, the blessings start to flow. That means we bless according to God’s word and in return we are blessed.

We do not expect to benefit directly from the poor people we help, but our blessings to them release blessings to us .We are expected to bless them daily in order to continue to receive daily.

PRAYER:

Holy Spirit! Continue to teach us and remind us to give and give in order to receive and receive. NB. Plant a seed and the harvest will follow.

REF: Proverbs 3:27-28

Do not withhold good from those who deserve it, when it is within your power to act. Do not say to your neighbor, “come back later; I will give it tomorrow” – when you now have it with you.

COMMENT:

 God TV deserve even more than KSh 10,000 for the good job they are doing in evangelizing the world through television. My friend gave what he was able to give at that time (June 22, 2014) promising to continue to give as God will provide. He treated it as his seed and he was sure God will bless him in two main ways; good health and plenty of finances. Later he discovered that spiritual blessings are even more important than finances and good health, and included them. He prayed that God would use him to strengthen believers through signs and wonders.

It is my friend’s hope and trust that God will act immediately and he is thanking God for the three things. It is the beginning of a lifetime journey of giving and receiving.

As I write this message, my friend received KSh 20,000 this morning and is thanking God. His faith has been built and strengthened. He is expecting more and more.

Thank you, Lord Jesus for your immediate action. I am waiting for more blessings
